ATTENTION. Based on the numerous inquiries we have received from foreign applicants applying to Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU), we would like to provide the following clarifications.
Professor Ada Yonath, laureate of the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and the Israel Prize, YSMU Honorary Doctor and an international model of scientific courage and perseverance, passed away on August 31, 2026. She was 87.
The information on the admission of first-year foreign applicants (those who have passed the exam at YSMU) will be posted on the YSMU website - ysmu.am, immediately after the completion of the second round of exams, on October 5, 2026, at 10:00 PM.
In the 100-year-old forge of medical personnel 1275 specialists provide education to the students, of which 1000 are lecturers, 221 are assistants, and 54 are invited specialists. 448 of them are candidates of sciences, 148 are doctors of sciences, 88 are professors, 164 are associate professors, and 3 are academicians.
