Cooperation between Yerevan State Medical University and Kansas Medical University
A teleconference was held on 2 of February, 2010 between tumor boards of Yerevan State Medical University and Kansas medical University. During the teleconference the tumor board of Kansas University represented a thorough description of diagnoses and treatment procedures of onclogical diseases according to acquired data and clinical examinations.
The teleconference consisted of two sessions, first of which comprised live discussions depicting oncologists’ spheres of activities in two countries. During the second part the tumor board of Kansas University presented the vast array of workings being performed during the diagnoses and treatment of the disease. Specialists of the Kansas University shared the viewpoint that such kind of working strategy and expressed viewpoints could be implemented in Yerevan State Medical University.
The above mentioned collaboration will enable both universities to observe two different medical approaches as well as promote the professional knowledge exchange, which will serve as a basis for making the most effective decisions for the complicated cases. Such conferences will be continuous resulting in discussions and clarifications concerning various clinical complicated cases. The teleconferences will be held once every two weeks. Those interested can participate as well as present problematic cases in this conference.
