In 1977, 25 pharmacists became the first graduates of the faculty.
Education
Teaching within the faculty of pharmacy is currently carried out in three languages: Armenian, Russian, and English. The duration of the program is 5 years and culminates in the attainment of a degree in pharmacy. Internship lasts 1 year. Both local and international students study fundamental and specialized subjects during the pharmaceutical course. Those students who have good and excellent academic progress and display interest in scientific work are offered sub-specialization in narrower fields of pharmacology through postgraduate programs in the spheres of drug technology, pharmaceutical management and economy, pharmaceutical chemistry, or clinical pharmacology. While studying, great attention is paid to practical skills acquired during academic and practical training periods at educational training bases of the university.

The final state exams for the primary pharmacy degree are carried out on three different levels: certification of practical skills, testing circle, and inter-disciplinary state certification.

The dean's office is the head link of the department. It consists of the Scientific Council of the faculty and student dean's office. The dean's office supervises academic, educational, scientific activities. The dean's office carries out and coordinates the daily activity of the departments and students.
