Admission
Since 2008 secondary medical professional education with the specialization “Dental technician” is available at the college. RA citizens having secondary education, as well as foreign citizens can apply for the education at the college. Applicants are allowed to choose among Physics, Biology, chemistry and take two entrance written exams (test). Those having taken unified exams hold by RA Ministry of Education and Science, and Centre of Grading and Testing, and having got satisfactory grades, yet not being enrolled in Higher Educational Institutions, can as well gain entrance into the college based upon their previous exam results. The applicant having positive grade from any subject of the unified exams, hold by RA Ministry of Education and Science, and Centre of Grading and Testing, are exempted from the same subject exam during the admission competition.
Education
Duration of the education is 2 years. It is organized with the exception of deferment. The college provides fee-paying and full-time education. Teaching is conducted in Armenian.
Within the studies students master the following practical skills:
- Metal-plastic and metal-ceramic prostheses preparation,
- Full and partially mobile laminar dental prostheses preparation,
- Orthodontic devices and maxillofacial prostheses preparation.
Great attention is paid to the individual work of students with patients as well as the management of contemporary medical equipment. Teaching is organized and implemented cooperatively with the YSMU appropriate departments. Teaching staff of the college consists of YSMU professors and teachers.
Qualification
Graduates are granted state diploma certifying about the secondary medical education and the specialization of dental technician, thus having the right to work both in Armenia and foreign medical institutions.
Administration
College is supervised by the Director. Dean’s Office supervises the educational-methodical and other organizational affairs.
