Teaching in YSMU is conducted in Armenian, Russian and English based on the contract signed between YSMU and the student.
Having passed the final exams successfully, a diploma is awarded upon graduation. The graduates of General Medicine faculty are awarded the degree of MD Physician.
The degree Doctor of Dental Medicine /DMD/ is conferred to the graduates of Stomatology /Dentistry/ faculty.
The graduates of the Pharmacy faculty acquire a degree in pharmacy.
The applicant must have an appropriate diploma from a secondary educational institution (e.g. high school). The applicant is enrolled in the 1st year of the study having passed successfully three from the following admission exams: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and the language of the study (mandatory). If the applicant fails the language exam, there is no need to take other exams any more.
Those applicants who fail admission exams or do not know the language of the study may be enrolled in the preparatory year program based on interview results and presentation of all requested documents.
All the students must have health insurance during the period of study.

4. Certified copy of passport (including all pages that have a mark or stamp on them)
5. Medical records detailing the health state of the applicant (including HIV test)
6. Six (6) passport-sized photos (4x6)
The required documents should be validated in the Armenian Embassy. In the case there is no Embassy in the given country; documents should be validated in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Armenia.

Application deadline: August 20, 2010
Admission to Foreign Students’ Admission Department: October 25, 2010.
Admission exams for the first year are held during the period from 25- to 30 August, 2010.
Transfer to YSMU from other HEI-s
In order to transfer from other Higher Education Institutions to YSMU, the student needs to submit a written request to the YSMU rector and a copy of the record-book or academic transcript. With the rector’s consent, the request is sent to the Educational Institution from where the student desires to transfer. In case of consent of the rector of that particular university, written consents of both rectors, a copy of the record-book (academic transcript) and a written request are then sent to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
The student can contact YSMU regarding transfer procedures two weeks prior to or after the beginning of the semester.
